Heather’s formal construction career began in 1984 working primarily on affordable housing projects for non-profit clients. Heather joined Rafn in 1990 and has remained here since. Now a partner at Rafn and responsible for client relations and overall company direction she strives to serve our commercial clients with the same enthusiasm and dedication that she is known for amongst the non-profit and affordable housing community. Having personally constructed several million square feet of both commercial and multifamily projects, she is an advocate of sustainable goals, high quality construction standards, and collaborative cost reduction strategies.

Heather currently sits on NAIOP’s Sustainable Development committee, ULI’s Workforce Housing Product Council, and Co-chairs a very active Affinity Group within the Housing Development Consortium of Seattle – King County. She has previously served as a volunteer on the Seattle Mayor’s Housing Affordability and Livability Agenda task force (HALA), an instructor in the University of Washington’s Real Estate Development Certificate program and on the Boards of several non-profit organizations.
